Goshāla

Goshāla

In the Vedic tradition, cows are worshipped as mothers. Like a child that gets nourishment through their mothers’ milk, human civilization needs cow milk. The mother cows provides us with five major products and all of them are pure and unadulterated. The five products received are milk, ghee, curd, cow dung and go-mutr. These five products, called as pancha-gavya, are essential for all ritualistic ceremonies performed according to the Vedic scriptures.

Cows are the integral part of āshram and their upkeep is one of the prime activities. All our 3 āshram’s have own goshāla to protect the mother cow. The one in the Bangalore is the biggest center spread across 6 acres on the Bannerghatta road. This houses more than 100+ Gir cows which are considered to be the best Indian breed.
